All children who finish their Summer Reading Log will win a gift certificate for a free ice cream; and gift certificates to Cello’s will be awarded to the top Teen and Adult readers! Also, the library has Take & Make bags available with fun crafts to do at home. Please email us at librarian@smythpl.orgif you would like one of these for a curbside pick up.


Even though many children will be headed back to school this fall, some parents will still educate their kids from home, and many teachers will continue to instruct their students remotely. Check out this new list of resources for all students: 

Free Math Tutoring available at library by appointment
With Candia resident, Scott Hewitt, retired Math teacher and current instructor at community college.
For all ages and abilities with help from Arithmetic to Calculus

Quarantine is a perfect time to get outside and explore the natural world; check out the animals Mrs. Lindsey viewed while kayaking in her small beaver pond! 


Art Club (K-5)
First Thursday of each month at 3pm, kids will be learning about and recreating the work of different artists using different supplies including: coffee filters, canvas, yarn, and tissue paper. Starting in October with creating your own mask with local Candia artist Lorraine Woodford.

STEM Club(K-4)
Second Thursday of each month at 3pm, this program combines Science, Technology, Engineering and Math by building, experimenting, and more. Starting in October with Abigail DeTore and Pattie Davis.

Magic Tree House Book Club (K-2)
Third Thursday of each month at 3pm, kids discuss Magic Tree House books and play games and create crafts based on the theme of the book. Starting in October with Abigail DeTore and Pattie Davis.


Creative Craft Club(K-4)
Fourth Thursday of each month at 3pm, this program will be a creative time to enjoy crafting. Starting in October with Abigail DeTore and Pattie Davis.

Story Time
Story Time with Jessica at 10am and PJ Story Time with Linda at 6pm on Thursdays year round. Ages preschool and babies welcome!


Circuit Club
Play with Snap Circuits on the second Friday of each month at 6:30pm!


LEGO Night
Play with LEGOs on the third Friday of each month at 6:30pm!


Drop in Coloring night for all ages, all supplies provided, every Friday 6-7 pm (packets also available for use in library anytime we are open).
